Measuring Guide |
| Please be sure to measure your windows very carefully, as Dial
a Blind will custom make blinds to
your specifications.
Please record all measurements in millimetres. |
|
Reveal (Internal) Fit |
| Ensure that there are no obstructions such as handles, locks or knobs, which will interfere with the operation of the blind. Width Measure the reveal opening at the top, centre and bottom, recording the smallest measurement. Drop Measure the reveal opening from the top to the bottom on both the left and right sides, recording the smallest measurement. If opening sizes are supplied deductions will be made for clearance. This will ensure that the blind will not touch against the edges or the bottom of the window frame or floor whilst being operated. If finished sizes are supplied, blinds will be made to the specifications given and no deductions will be made in the factory for clearance. Pelmets are usually made 10mm larger in width than the blind. For Venetians, Verticals, Sunscreen and chain control Holland blinds, please note which side you would like the control mechanisms to be placed. Vertical fabric stacking can also be nominated by choosing left or right stack, centre split or centre stacking. The control mechanisms can also be left or right sided. Obstructions such as beds and cupboards, which may make access difficult, or which side the window opens, are factors to be considered. |
| Face (External) Fit |
